Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster: OPERA (QM.15)

One of France’s most preeminent contemporary artists, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster has spent her artistic career focusing on the relationship between past and present, using multiple mediums and figures to consider the connections between time, space, and memory. On view for the first time since its acquisition in 2018, OPERA (QM.15) (2016) is one in a series of works, featuring a holographic projection of the artist, embodying the famed opera singer, Maria Callas.
