María Berrío

María Berrío: Songlines traces a decade of the artist’s intricate “paintings with paper”: large-scale works made from cut and torn paper fragments that coalesce into expansive scenes shaped by myth, memory, and migration. In a time when we are losing the stories that once gave our lives meaning, Berrío’s visually and technically enticing works reanimate mythologies, both classical and contemporary, as ever-evolving springs of possibility.
